Monthly Wrap-Up – March 2019

Hello everyone,

March is now over and we are a quarter of the way into 2019! Looking back, it was a busy and occasionally productive month, but also quite difficult as I have spent a lot of time recovering from illness.

Because I was ill, in began March in a reading slump and it was really slow going, but I managed to catch up in the last few days and was somehow able to finish five books. All of them were pretty good reads from a decent variety of genres, so I am just about staying on track with my Goodreads target for this year!

On a more positive note, I have made a little progress with my writing, and it has been a very good month for my blog.

Here are books I read in March:

Give Me The Child (review) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Winter of the Witch (review) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Watching Edie (review) ⭐⭐⭐.5
An Unwanted Guest ⭐⭐⭐
A Monster Calls ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am planning a very busy reading month for April and my TBR is full of highly anticipated books, so stay tuned for what I hope will be a lot of reviews!

Elsewhere, I posted a discussion about the WriteReads group that received so many wonderful comments and led to a lot of great interactions with other bloggers in the community. That was a highlight of March, and the phenomenal reaction to this post caught me by surprise!.

I wrote a new poem, too, about the dilemma of whether to read a really hyped book. As for my own writing, I have just started on a new WIP (exciting!), and have written another magazine article.
