Monthly Wrap-Up – April 2019

Hello everyone,

The end of another month! April was pretty good for me, especially after having such a bad March. I read some outstanding books, made some progress with my writing, and gradually my life is starting to run a bit more smoothly.

April was a slightly different month for me on the blog. I took part in my first ever blog tour (yay!) and decided to try a few more tags. Sadly I have not found time to write original posts such as discussions or poems, but on the other hand I have almost reached 500 followers!

I really, really cannot believe that, so thank you so much!

I managed to finish five books in April, not quite as many as I hoped, but a couple of them were among my best reads of the year so far:

After The Green Withered ⭐⭐⭐.5
The Seven Deaths Of Evelyn Hardcastle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Killing Kate ⭐⭐
The Rumour ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Harry Potter: A History Of Magic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am planning a very busy May, which will include a holiday, a couple of bookish events, and hopefully lots of reading. There are so many new releases for me to catch up on!

Here are a two outstanding book reviews I read during April, both part of blog tours for recently released novels that I simply must get round to reading.

Kerry @ Herding Cats wrote the most fantastic review of Call Me Star Girl by Louise Beech, a extraordinary author who can bring magic to a page.

Inge @ The Belgian Reviewer convinced me that The Passengers by John Marrs is a must-read, with her fabulous and detailed review.

How was your April? Do you have any goals for May? Let me know in the comments!

Happy reading 🙂
