Hello everyone,
I hope you are having a great weekend so far. It is already the end of August and so we are two thirds of the way into 2019, so that means time for an update on how I am getting on with my reading challenge!
I set myself a target of 50 books this year. Not easy, but not too ambitious either. And I am pleased to say that I am on track! I have read 42 books so far this year, which Goodreads deduce is eight ahead of schedule. Just eight more to go, and I would expect to get there by the end of the year.
My 2019 reads have continued to be from a wider range of genres, and have also included an entire reread of the Harry Potter series. Taking these into account, I have certainly read longer books this year than I did in 2018.
Here are the books I have read in 2019:

Despite the Harry Potter series taking up a sixth of my reading, most of the books I have picked up are either from my TBR, or new releases. 2019 has been such a fantastic year for new books, and I have tried – fairly unsuccessfully – to get my TBR down.
As for the rest of 2019, I am planning to continue working away at my TBR, and read some of the library books that have sat next to my bed for months and months! I need to take some time out to prioritise which ones to read first, as at the moment I don’t really have a method.
Wish me luck!
