Monthly Wrap-Up – September 2019

Hello everyone,

It feels a little bit surreal that we are already at the end of September and have just three months left in 2019. Time flies when you are busy, I guess!

I did a lot of writing during September, which along with work took up a large percentage of my time. Fitting in blog posts and book reviews alongside all of my other writing has proved tricky.

Progress on my WIP is coming along fairly well, although I have had to put it on hold lately to write a magazine article. I am just getting back to it now and am over 15,000 words in. I thought I knew the path I wanted my novel to take, but I have recently come up with a nice idea for a potential twist!

My piano lessons are also going okay. I am taking my time and making sure I have mastered something before moving on to the next step. I am doing better than I expected though, and it is always a great feeling when I play a tune correctly!

As for reading, September started off slowly but got much better as it went along. After one disappointing read and an average read, my next two books were standout.

Here are the five books I ended up reading in September:

11 Missed Calls ⭐
In A Dark Dark Wood ⭐⭐⭐
Once Upon A River ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Passengers ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
The Poet X ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Looking ahead to October, my plan is to read more of the library books I have amassed, and some of the other books I have bought during 2019. Whether I stick to this plan…well I have to wait and see!

Finally, thank you to everyone for the lovely comments on my blog posts in September! It means so much.

Happy reading :)
