Hello everyone,
I spent some of my summer watching the whole of Stranger Things right from the beginning, and I became slightly obsessed – especially after season three.
It has become one of my favourite shows, so obviously when I saw this book tag I couldn’t resist it! I originally discovered it on Kelly‘s blog, and it was created by Sarah Elise, a booktuber. The tag contains no Stranger Things spoilers ;)
EPIC INTRO | Name a book that grabbed your attention from the first page

I would go so far as to say that it would be impossible for the opening to this book to not grab your attention! It is dramatic, scary, and full of foreboding.
SQUAD GOALS | Name your favourite bookish group of friends

I struggled with this one, as I haven’t actually read many books with large groups of friends. But I recently read this, and liked January’s comradeship with Jane, Samuel, and Bad.
ABC’S & CHRISTMAS LIGHTS | Name your favourite mentally unhinged character

I love Doctor Who and I love Missy, even if, by her own admission, she is ‘crackers’. She features in a book called The Missy Chronicles, so this one counts!
THE UPSIDE DOWN | Name a book that was the opposite of what you expected

I entered this one expecting something fantastical and intriguing, but it turned out to be completely different. I liked it more towards the end, but the writing style did rather take me aback.
MAD SCIENTISTS | Name the freakiest dystopian government you can think of

There are several I could choose here, but Nineteen Eighty-Four is the first dystopian novel I read, and it doesn’t get much more freaky than that!
DEMOGORGON | Name a scary bookish creature that you wouldn’t want to come through your walls

The only thing I can think of here is Medved (the bear) from the Winternight Trilogy.
CLIFFHANGER ENDING | Name a book that left you wanting more

This one ended abruptly and I had to wait for over two years to find out what happened next! I wanted more there and then.
And that is everything! Hope you enjoyed my answers? What would you choose for these prompts? Let me know in the comments!
Happy reading :)
