Poem – All The Things

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having an excellent weekend, full of relaxing and reading, or holidaying.

It is time to share my next poem! This one is about things in my life that I aspire to do, and whether I am confident enough to fulfil them.

It is called ‘All The Things’. Without further ado, here we go…

A row of books stares back at me
I’ve no idea which one to pick
If only I could read them all right now
And save myself from this wretched conflict

So many exciting story ideas
Swirl steadily through my mind
How I wish they could be published
But I have it all still to write

All the skills I desire to learn,
Everything I want to perfect
They will be years in the making
And ultimate failure just too hard to accept

So may the doubts be cast aside
For time creates as well as consigns
One day something might happen
And finally allow my confidence to rise
