Five Books On My TBR – December 2019

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a very good weekend so far and enjoying your current reads. For me, it is the beginning of a new buddy read with my friend Gem – we have chosen The Huntress by Kate Quinn, and have very high hopes!

Today I am sharing five more books which are on my exhaustive Goodreads TBR. I really need to go through the full list and decide which ones I still want to read, but these here are all books I would like to get to sooner rather than later in 2020.

The Grace Year by Kim Leggett

During 2019, I have started reading lots more dystopian fiction and I now really enjoy the genre. So The Grace Year looks like an ideal read. I have hardly seen a bad word spoken about it!

In The Absence Of Miracles by Michael J. Malone

I came across this one at my library and everything about it compelled me to pick it up. Also, the publisher is Orenda Books, who rarely go wrong.

One Year Later by Sanjida Kay

Sanjida Kay is one of my favourite thriller authors, as she writes with a lovely descriptive style, and comes up with some brilliantly unexpected twists. This will be one of the first books I read in 2020.

The Corset by Laura Purcell

I love historical mysteries and this looks like a perfect example. The cover is beautiful and everything I’ve heard suggests the writing is, too!

What She Saw Last Night by Mason Cross

The blurb makes this sound like a captivating thriller, and the reviews I have seen from other bloggers appear to back that up. I am quite selective when it comes to thrillers now, but this one definitely looks like an ideal choice!
