Hello everyone,
We are already through the first month of 2020! This year my overriding goal is to enjoy and get the most out of every day, and so far I have done relatively well, with only one or two exceptions.
I began the year with a chest infection but thankfully it cleared up, and January has been productive in terms of work, reading and to a lesser degree, writing.
I was lucky to have read some excellent books last month. Through focusing mainly on my most anticipated reads and priority TBR, it has enabled me to choose better books in the main, and I have already had a five-star book!
Here are the five books I read in January:

The Woman In Cabin 10 ⭐⭐⭐.5
The Binding ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Friday Edition ⭐⭐
With The Fire On High ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
All The Rage
In terms of my writing, a new year has brought a new WIP. I had an idea for a mystery which I liked, and I thought why not make a start?! That was completely disregarding the fact that I already have a WIP that is 25,000 words long, which I don’t want to abandon.
I am also close to finishing on my next magazine article, and I reached a milestone on this blog during January as I published my 100th book review, which just so happened to be a five-star read in the shape of The Song of Achilles.
Overall, I am pretty happy with how my 2020 has begun. I shall finish with some of favourite blog posts from January…
Sofii discussed her thoughts on writing book reviews and their impact within the book blogging community. It was a marvellous discussion post!
Anniek gave some excellent advice on how to read more books – she reads one per day!! I already score highly on some of these tips, but not on others.
Caitlin began a new series on her wonderful blog, and the first post saw her try out some of the books that other bloggers have read, including me! It also included live updates and a summary of her thoughts. I adored this post.
That is everything! Have a brilliant February and happy reading :)
