Hello everyone,
We find ourselves in autumn, so of course that means it is time for this tag! It is always a fun one to do, and although the prompts have not changed, I do intend to give a wider variety of answers than previous years.
Thank you so much to Becky for the tag! She is a wonderful bookish friend who posts consistently great content almost every day and has time for everyone, so do check out her blog if you haven’t already.
Let’s get started!
IN FALL, THE AIR IS CRISP AND CLEAR | NAME A BOOK WITH A VIVID SETTING!

I have to go for one of my more recent reads here! The Devil And The Dark Water takes place primarily on a ship, and it is described with fabulous detail, complete with an array of nautical terms. It felt very immersive.
NATURE IS BEAUTIFUL BUT ALSO DYING | NAME A BOOK THAT IS BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN, BUT ALSO DEALS WITH A HEAVY TOPIC LIKE LOSS OR GRIEF

The writing is this book is sensational, and I have never seen such an array of emotions described in the kind of multi-faceted, all-encompassing way that the author does here. Grief is discussed late on in incredible depth.
FALL IS BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON | SHARE A NON-FICTION BOOK THAT TAUGHT YOU SOMETHING NEW

I hardly ever read non-fiction these days, but I read this one at the start of 2019 and I learned a lot of quirky, obscure knowledge. The number of terms that Shakespeare introduced into the English language is just one of them!
IN ORDER TO KEEP WARM, IT’S GOOD TO SPEND SOME TIME WITH THE PEOPLE WE LOVE | NAME A FICTIONAL FAMILY/HOUSEHOLD/FRIEND-GROUP THAT YOU’D LIKE TO BE A PART OF

This is a really difficult question to answer this year, but I really love the characters in The Gilded Wolves and I think it would be quite fun to hang around with them or stay at Severin’s hotel.
FALL IS THE PERFECT TIME FOR SOME STORYTELLING BY THE FIRESIDE | SHARE A BOOK WHEREIN SOMEBODY IS TELLING A STORY

This is a special book in which storytelling plays such a major part. It is made to feel magical, but also quite moving. Rarely have I read something that makes the power of stories so profound.
THE NIGHTS ARE GETTING DARKER | SHARE A DARK, CREEPY READ

This is mystery that keeps you interested until the end, taking place on an isolated island and featuring a murder that happens late at night when the lights go out. You cannot get much darker than that!
THE DAYS ARE GETTING COLDER | NAME A SHORT, HEARTWARMING READ THAT COULD WARM UP SOMEBODY’S COLD AND RAINY DAY

This is not a particularly short book, but it is reasonably fast paced and definitely heartwarming! I loved pretty much everything about this one and I felt happy while reading it.
FALL RETURNS EVERY YEAR | NAME AN OLD FAVOURITE THAT YOU’D LIKE TO RETURN TO SOON.
There are so many books on my TBR that I simply do not have time to reread anything this year! I would love to, but there are so many amazing books that I have not got to yet.
FALL IS THE PERFECT TIME FOR COSY READING NIGHTS | SHARE YOUR FAVOURITE COSY READING ACCESSORIES!
Mostly just blankets and a cup of tea or hot chocolate. Sometimes a table lamp, and also my cat sits on me occasionally while I read. He gets quite interested in sniffing the corner of my book!
