Hello everyone,
It is only September, but today we are thinking about Christmas as I spotlight Lynette Creswell’s festive children’s book! I was honoured to be invited to write this post, as it looks like a truly enchanting story that will be a wonderful gift to any child who receives it.
Said to be perfect for anyone who loves Winnie The Pooh, all about Christmas with two adorable hedgehogs (hoglets!) as main characters, what’s not to like?!

It’s Christmas Eve with the hoglets.
Prickles and Primrose are excited. That is until… As they decorate the Christmas tree they discover the star for the top has shattered. Not to be defeated, the brave hoglets set out into the woods to seek a substitute star but stumble across Santa instead.
What adventure will they encounter?
AND… what about the star?
If you love Winnie the Pooh you’ll fall in love with the hoglets, Prickles and Primrose, from Briar Wood.

A reader from the age of five, Lynette Creswell began writing at school and with inspirations from the works of Enid Blyton and the Twilight series, eventually became an author – with a little push in the right direction. She began with a fantasy trilogy; the first of them entitled Sinners Of Magic. It was released in 2012 and received attention from film producers on both sides of the Atlantic.
One of her short stories, The Witching Hour, was made for television and narrated by the actress Julie Peasgood. Hoglet’s Christmas Magic was released a week ago and is her sixth published book. Lynette lives in Lincolnshire with her husband.
