Hello everyone,
It feels like February has been a whirlwind of a month! It has been pretty busy and once again I have frequently been left to reflect on the fact there are just not enough hours in the day (lol), but ultimately it was successful.
There are a few reasons why I can look back on the last month with a lot of happiness, and the one that clearly stands out the most is that I am getting a new job!
The interview took place online and a thought it went okay, but I was still surprised when I was offered the role. I am starting on 15th March, so that will be something to look forward to, and also there will be a lot to learn!
As for reading, it has mostly been a very good month on that front too. Aside from a very rare one-star read, I have been lucky to pick up some excellent books including my first five-star rating of 2021.

Despite finishing five books during the month, I have not made the best start to my Goodreads challenge! I am slightly behind schedule as I work towards a target of 54 so hopefully I can catch up a little in March.
My March TBR is another eclectic mix. I am currently about halfway through The House In The Cerulean Sea and should finish that soon. Meanwhile, I am planning to finally read Six Of Crows, along with The Silent Companions and The Whole Truth, and some more which I have not decided yet!
In addition to reading Rebecca, I also watched the recent Netflix adaptation in February. It was a decent watch and I quite enjoyed it, but was quite dubious about how the ending was changed so drastically from the book. The other film I watched was The Dig, which was also good except for a romance element that felt completely irrelevant to the plot!
As for my new flat, hopefully March can be the month where I finally move in. I have received most of the furniture now (including the all-important bookcase!) and it is just the finishing touches left, such as fixing carpets, setting up wi-fi, and moving my belongings there – the end is in sight!
Time has been such a precious commodity in February so it has not always been easy to make progress with writing, while I also decided to enrol on an online course about country houses in English literature, which I have only been able to study once or twice per week so far.
The most disappointing victim of lack of time is blog hopping. I have really struggled to keep up with other blog posts in February and I feel bad about that because I love supporting fellow book bloggers and you all put so much effort and thought into your content, so I promise to make sure I get to it in March.
All the same, this new month contains many things to look forward to, some I am excited to see where it will lead!

- Clair convinced me to add The One Hundred Years Of Lenni And Margaret to my TBR with her amazing review.
